Anchor House was very sad to hear the news about Newham’s Labour MP and former Treasury Minister Stephen Timms who was stabbed twice in the stomach as he held a constituency surgery last week.
Last year Stephen Timms visited Anchor House in his capacity as communications minister in charge of the Government’s Digital Britain after we had been awarded “best use of technology in the charity sector”.
Anchor House Director Keith Fernett said “We are all quite shocked, he was going about his work and listening to the issues of people from his constituency. We wish him a speedy recovery”.
