My name is Derek Pitt and I am the Deputy Director of Anchor House, I have worked here for almost 9 years after running my own company for many years. I am responsible for the day to day operations of Anchor House.
I also have overall responsibility for our finances, HR, payroll and Health & Safety as well as deputising for our Director in his absence.
After seeing 2 of my 3 sons complete their university studies I was looking for a fresh challenge and you could certainly say I found one! Working here is a constant challenge and is never boring as no two days are the same.
When I am not at work I enjoy eating out, watching all sports but especially rugby and cricket and playing duplicate bridge, I am also an avid reader and my favourite author is John Irving. I have been happily married for 35 years and have 3 grown up sons.
